Q&A with Sarah – Instructor Extraordinaire

Sarah, our fabulous instructor whom many of you have had the pleasure of being in her classes, has been teaching at Defy since March 2015. She is high energy, always ready to have fun, and incredibly knowledgeable about fitness. We asked her some questions, here are her answers.

1. I hear you started taking classes at Defy before you started teaching here. What inspired you to take classes at Defy?

I was looking for a studio that offered quality group reformer classes with several class times. I was also spinning at the time and loved the idea of having everything under one roof. When I started up with Defy I knew that I had found the perfect place. I loved the small groups and the clean, bright studio and of course the educated instructors. I've been teaching for 20yrs but I have never stopped being a student.

2. What do you love best about teaching at Defy?

I love the community at Defy. We have such a great group of students that are always eager to learn and challenge themselves. Smaller class sizes really allows me to get to know each person and cater to their individual needs, which can be tricky in a larger group setting. I love that we as instructors are always learning and evolving our teaching skills.

3. What do you do when you're not in the studio?

When I'm not at the studio I am usually spending time with my family, my husband Sasha and our two kids Jase (8) and Brooklyn (4). We love to travel to the mountains for snowboarding in the winter and spend as much time outdoors as possible.

We love Sarah and are so grateful she is part of our Defy family. If you haven't been to one of Sarah's classes, what are you waiting for??
