Q&A with our Fabulous Instructor Kristy

Kristy is an important part of our team here at Defy. We love her energy and what she brings to the studio. We had a Q&A with her and here are her answers!

1. What inspired you to start teaching at Defy?

My journey at Defy began as a Pilates and Cycling Student. I came to Defy to seek an alternative to unsuccessful physical therapy to rehabilitate myself after lower back surgery. My goals were not only reached but surpassed while under the care of Defy’s incredible staff.  I decided that I really wanted to share the joy and progress I experienced with others.

2. What do you love best about teaching at Defy?

My favorite part about teaching at Defy is the warmth of the clients/members/student and their willingness to openly communicate with me, as well when I try my latest wild idea. I find myself routinely thanking them for being my "guinea pig" and the valuable feedback they provide.

3. What do you do when you're not in the studio?

In my free time, one of my favorite things to do with friends is going to see DJ’s or live music. I LOVE to dance!

4. Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

A fun random fact, I play the flute!

We are so lucky to have Kristy be a part of our Defy family! If you haven't taken one of Kristy's classes yet, what are you waiting for?! Grab a spot on a Reformer, Bodhi or Cycle and get ready for an amazing time!
