We have declared 2017 to be the Year of Intentions!! Together, let's create the best version of yourself.
How do you have Intentions in your workout?
An intention is something that you revisit whenever your mind starts wandering away from the present. This is a great strategy to include in your everyday workouts to stay focused and rid yourself of distractions.
Motivation is great, but is something that needs to be created and doesn’t always provide consistency. With intentions, you can adjust day to day, workout to workout. In addition, intentions provides a deep mindfulness to your workout.
If you've ever missed an interval during a cycle class because of a wandering mind, then you know that staying in the moment helps to get the most out of your workouts. Intentions allow us to maximize the time we have to ourselves — after all, the time we spend working out is often the only time we have for ourselves during the day.
Another benefit about intentions is that it can vary by mood. If you're feeling like you really want to push yourself, then set an intention that has to do with strength. If you had a particularly rough day or a bad nights sleep, you might realign your intention to focus on inner strength.
By honoring your intentions, you prioritize your values and desires over the end goal, which ensures that training is sustainable on a daily basis. This intuitive training approach feels easier because it fits seamlessly with the rest of your life and it's constantly changing demands and circumstances. As you fulfill your intentions on a daily basis, success occurs frequently rather than only when you reach the race finish line.
We always say "small changes creates big results" because intentions create better lasting sustainable change!
